Butter. I mean…come on, now. Butter is the absolute best (and in France, maybe it’s bestEST). People have been hard on good ol’ butter over the years, and at the end of the day, butter just plain makes it better.
There are different types of butter (ex: clarified, cultured, sweet cream, raw and way more), and it’s used in baking, savory cooking…or of course for spreading or dipping all by itself! It dates back to 1500 BC and continues to be on tables and in mouths today all over the world.
